Fuel Advance Program
A same-day cash advance against a load in transit, paid at pickup rather than delivery, so the driver can cover fuel and tolls without floating the cost out of pocket.
How it fits the run
Fuel advances are typically a percentage (often 40 to 50 percent) of the load value, wired to the carrier or directly to a fuel card at pickup. The balance is settled when the invoice factors at delivery.
It is most useful on long-haul lanes where the cash demand at pickup is large relative to the operator's working capital cushion.
